Missions :
SUMMARY – MAIN PURPOSE OF THE POSITION:
– Develop BDI France yearly field-based Medical Affairs strategy under the direction of Associate Director Medical Affairs.
– Implement BU Medical strategies through local actionable field tactics and ensure successful execution by collaborating with medical and business leadership.
– Ensure thorough medical reviewing and validation of documentation related to BDI solutions for internal and external diffusion, to ensure compliance with BD policy and French Charter on information and promotion of medical devices.
– Establish and maintain credible peer-to-peer scientific relationships with national/regional thought leaders and key customers.
– Responsible for enhancing and expanding scientific relationships with Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs), leading scientific advisory and KOL meetings.
– Serve as a primary resource for medical and scientific information to external health care providers for BU for identified product areas.
– Provide key customer insights with recommendations to key internal stakeholders to impact brand and medical strategic plan.
– Provide medical insight to key internal stakeholders to ensure medical-based business strategies and evidence generation plans.
– Ensure that all activities and interactions comply with local, international, and BD guidelines/policies as applicable to the product line.
– Ensure that all activities and interactions comply with international/local policies, BD guidelines and SOPs.
– Ensure and be accountable for the level of scientific knowledge of BDI teams.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:
– Plan, develop and implement regional/local strategic initiatives to achieve integrated Medical Affairs objectives.
– Ensure thorough medical reviewing and validation of documentation related to BDI solutions for internal and external diffusion, to ensure compliance with BD policy and French Charter on information and promotion of medical devices.
– Develop strategic partnerships with scientific, medical experts and business partners.(associations, government, instrument companies, etc.) based on cutting-edge medical/scientific data and information.
– Provide timely feedback/information on emerging clinical/scientific trends and opportunities to internal stakeholders.
– Contribute to the development and implementation of clinical research and educational projects.
– Act as a liaison for evidence generation activities within the territory.
– Act as Medical Reviewer / Approver for Promotional materials should these responsibilities be delegated from the respective BU Medical Affairs management.
– Actively participate and contribute in relevant management and leadership meetings and activities.
– Set goals, track and report metrics for other field-based medical affairs activities.
– Assist in the identification of investigators and sites for company-sponsored clinical trials.
– Business Partners: Assist in local market development activities, successful product/new indication launches, competitor defense, and appropriate utilization of BD products.
– Direct the identification and development of KOLs across different areas as needed.
– Ensure that all activities and interactions comply with International/Local policies, BD guideline and SOPs.
– Ensure and be accountable for the level of scientific knowledge of the team.

Profil recherché :
– MD, or PharmD or PhD, ideally with specialty/education in public health, epidemiology or clinical research.
– 5+ years professional experience in MedTech, Pharma industry or Healthcare Authority.
– Strong  knowledge of French healthcare system and stakeholders.
– Strong competency in epidemiology, clinical study design, statistics, technical writing.
– Knowledge of clinical trials and ability to design studies, review and interpret data next to having a knowledge of applicable regulations, standards and guidelines.
– Evidence generation experience with knowledge of Good Clinical Practice (GCP) and Health Economics & Outcomes Research (HEOR)
– Knowledge of French healthcare funding system  and healthcare databases.
– Clear understanding of medical practice and clinical decision-making
– Ability to identify the unmet medical, educational, and research needs within medical community.
– Demonstrated ability to develop trust and integrity with peers and others within the local, regional and WW Medical Affairs and commercial organizations.
– Work collaboratively with medical and commercial counterparts to successfully implement local field medical plans.
– Ability and confidence in direct 1:1 KOL-Thought Leader interactions.
– Interpretation of key scientific data   and ability to translate this information to meet educational and research needs.
– Effective communication skills and external focus.
– Advanced English level.
– Willing to travel up to 50%.
